I saw the movie "Dead Or Alive" on DVD.
You know, Kane Kosugi and Devon Aoki appear in it.

When I saw it, I thought that
the people who made it
couldn't distinguish ninja and samurai.


「デッドオアアライブ」の映画をDVDで見ました。
ケイン・コスギさんやデヴォン青木さんが出ているアレです。

これを見て、あるふぁ郎は
「この映画を作った人たちは忍者と侍の区別ができていないな」
と思いました。

Ace Attorney 5 / 逆転裁判・５

I read the manga version of "Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban),"
written by Kenji Kuroda and Kazuo Maekawa.
I like the scene in Volume 5
where Franziska von Karma (Mei Karuma) says,
"It's you that will go to hell, because you isulted me!"

(脚本・黒田研二、漫画・前川かずお)を読みました。
5巻で狩魔冥が
「私を侮辱するあなたこそ地獄に堕とされるわ！」
と言う場面が好きです。

Hotel Dusk Room 215 / ウィッシュルーム 天使の記憶

Since I came to Europe,
I have bought and played
the English versions of some Nintendo DS games.
"HOTEL DUSK Room 215" is one of them.

I played it more than one year ago,
but I still remember that
I spent a lot of time to finish it
because I could not understand the meaning of the word "file."


ヨーロッパに来て以来、
あるふぁ郎はニンテンドーDSのゲームの英語版を
いくつか買ってプレイしています。
「ウィッシュルーム　天使の記憶」もその一つ。

これをプレイしたのはもう一年以上前のことですが、
"file"という単語の意味が分からなかったせいで
クリアにすごく時間がかかったことは
今でも覚えています。

Green light / 青信号

The green traffic light is called the "blue" light in Japan, but why?
It obviously looks green.


青信号って、なんで「青」信号なんでしょうね。
明らかに緑色なのに。

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger / 侍戦隊シンケンジャー

The Super Sentai in 2009 is "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger."
The word "shinken" means a real katana sword as well as seriousness,
but I have no idea if the rangers are named seriously or not.

Anyway, I want to know more about
Shinken Yellow's older sister, who is in delicate health.


2009年のスーパー戦隊は「侍戦隊シンケンジャー」。
「シンケン」は「真剣」のことなのでしょうが、
このネーミングが真剣なのかそうでないのかは分かりません。

それはさておき、あるふぁ郎的には、
シンケンイエローの体が弱いというお姉さんのことが気になります。

Free to link / リンクフリー

In Japanese, the word "rinku-furi" (link-free) is usually used
to say that a Web page can be linked freely.
However, Japanese people including me must be careful
when using this word in English,
because "link-free" actually means that a Web page is free from links,
or the Web page "cannot" be linked.

Of course, this blog is not "link-free" but "rinku-furi."

日本語では、「リンクフリー」という言葉は普通、
ウェブページに自由にリンクできることを言うために使います。
しかし、私たち日本人がこの言葉を英語で使うときには
注意しないといけません。
なぜなら、英語の"link-free"という言葉は、実際には
ウェブページにリンクが「できない」ことを意味しているのですから。

もちろん、このブログは"link-free"でなはく「リンクフリー」です。

Masked Rider Decade / 仮面ライダーディケイド

The new TV program "Masked Rider Decade" is on air now.
An official Web site says that
Decade will visit all worlds of the "Heisei Riders" until now.
It looks interesting that
each world is slightly different from that in the original program.

By the way, does the "DCD" shown in the logo mean "Decade"?
Or have some letters in "Decayed" been decayed?

公式サイトによると、
彼はこれまで全ての「平成ライダー」の世界を旅するとか。
それぞれのライダーの世界が
オリジナルのものと少しずつ異なっているのが面白そうです。

ところで、タイトルロゴにある"DCD"は"Decade"(10年間)のことでいいのでしょうか？
それとも、"Decayed"(減衰した)の一部の文字が消えたもの？
